Gut-busting family fun day

Family fun day is important as it builds a strong family identity. Buckner Kenya looks at this special event as one that brings together clients undergoing family coaching, hence building a lifetime bound. Everyone looks forward to this day. It is one that you can't afford to miss! 

Buckner Nairobi Family Hope Center (BCC) was a bee hive of activities over the weekend owing to the family fun day event that is held once a month.

The one day event brought together hundreds of families from Maili nane village in Nairobi's Dandora estate. 

Social workers at the program believe that family fun day makes them learn and understand all members of families undergoing family coaching, hence turning their weaknesses to strengths. 

"We all look forward to this event because it gives us a chance to interact with all family members of the dependents undergoing family coaching. We are able to know what they are good at as well identify areas that need to be worked on. Most of the time when we go for home visits, we don't meet all the family members so this is the best time," said Steve, a social worker at the Nairobi FHC.

Nairobi Family Hope Center program holds this event on the last day of every month, giving the participants a chance to compete in various gaming activities as well as empowering them spiritually.
