Spiritual Means

As a module, spiritual nourishment strengthens participants’ hope and faith in God as well as builds their courage in life.

We use devotions; bible study and participation to ensure that every member gain knowledge of the bible, while giving opportunities to freely share real-life experiences that are related to the bible’s topic of discussion. Participants sing and recite bible verses during the training. As a result, many have overcome their shyness and can now speak about God at home and in public gatherings and even some made commitments to become Christians and become members of churches in their locality.

The inspiration for our FHC’s volunteer service is drawn from Gillian Anderson, thus- “Be of service. Whether you make yourself available to a

friend or co-worker, or you make time every month to do volunteer work, there is nothing that harvests more of a feeling of empowerment than being of service to someone in need.”

We ensure that all participants practice voluntary service, sacrificing oneself for the sake of the society. They have discovered that ‘volunteerism is currency that appreciates.’ Some of the services they volunteer include, farming, laundry, cleaning children residential area including their beddings and the entire compound and some even volunteer to teach children at Sunday school. It’s amazing as some participants have volunteered their time up to eight hours in a week.
